Miss me? I hope to see that someone out there is reading this and that they do miss me....

Enough of that crap, lets get to the news.

Looks like the GOP filibuster was squashed early this morning to bring a 60-40 test vote on President Obama's health care overhaul. Even though the Republicans were crushed they are coming out and saying that they think this vote will hurt the Democrats in the next vote. Now we all have to sit on pins and needles and wait for the outcome of the bill which should happen before Christmas. I am sure that the Republicans will be taking up all of the time that they possibly can to stall the bill, however, this carefully planned event should come to fruition by Christmas eve.

Actress Brittany Murphy died over the weekend at age 32. It seems that young actors and actresses are dropping like fly's. What are they putting in the martini's out there? Brittany was best known for her work in the movie's "Clueless" and "8 Mile". Initial autopsies have been performed but we probably won't receive any information for several weeks. I will be interested to hear what the tox report shows.

In other Hollywood news, the Survivor Samoa season came to a close last night with the suckiest ending ever. The blond haired coat tail riding Natalie White walked away with a million dollars after winning the votes. Russell Hantz (who should have won!) was obviously pissed at the outcome. Those damn jury members voted based on their hurt feelings and not on who played the game the best. Oh well, maybe Russell will have another chance in a future season.

The east coat was buried under a massive snow storm this past weekend. From North Carolina to Maine record snow fall blanketed the states. Thousands went without power as crews worked throughout the night to restore power. People were trapped in their homes all weekend which has businesses reporting some hurtful numbers on what was supposed to be the biggest shopping weekend of the year.

My favorite story:

A DC Donut Eater (my definition of Police Officers) is sitting at a desk awaiting the outcome of an investigation on why he pulled a gun during a snowball fight. It seems that the "OFF DUTY" officer was blazed with snowballs while driving his car. He then decided to get out and show those would be terrorists who was boss. What this guys is really pissed off about is that he is a cop and that he couldn't score high enough on the test to be a firefighter.
